Planned Group Activities
In order for our school, Little Rock Central High, to participate in the Drive Smart Challenge the group had to do eight (8) different activities. Four (4) activities were mandatory of the group and four (4) more activities the group had to come with on our own. Here is the list of activities that our group decided to do naming the activity, telling what the activity is about, who performed the activity & when the activity is to take place. "Room To Live" video(m) - Have the "Room to Live" featured on the website in the videos section. (Performed by Jerryll & Brandon) Date Completed: 4/7/10 Connect & Educate Parents: Email Blast(m) - Acquire a list of parent emails and email them about seatbelt safety & texting while driving as well as the Arkansas Drive Smart Challegne. (Performed by Sam) Date Completed: 4/14/10 Posters for Students(m) - Put up 6-9 posters about seatbelt safety and texting while driving around the school to encourage students to buckle up. (Performed by all members) Date Completed: 4/15/10 Law Enforcement PSA(m) - Have a school officier present a PSA about seatbelt safety & texting while driving. (Performed by Sam & Brandon) Date Completed: 4/16/10 Post It* - Pass out bussiness cards with facts & messages about not using seatbelts. (Perfomed by all members) Date Completed: 4/1/10 Buckle-Up Stencil - Paint a stencil in both school parking lots saying "Buckle-Up" and a graphic of two hands fastening a seat belt buckle. (Performed by all members) Date Completed: 3/18/10 Staff Sticker Day - Have selected teachers & students, chosen by the group to wear stickers that give a message about seatbelt safety. (Performed by Brandon, Sam & Jerryll) Date Completed: 4/13-14/10 BK Crowns* - Have the members of group pass out paper crowns from Buger King to all the drivers that have there seatbelt on and is also not on their cell phone while leaving school. (Performed by all members) Date Completed: 4/1/10 (m mandoratory activity) (* activities completed at the same time) Regardless of Age, Everybody should wear their seatbelt. Thank you!
